Shelf Confidence

Shelf Confidence

A Poem by BJ "Bunneh3000" Brown
"

Back in the day when the fellas ranked themselves by how many phone numbers they got at the club....Man, I had NO game back then!

"

tryin' to win my pride

doin' my best to hide

insecurities inside

while my club dancin' lies

hatin' this song

and though the feelin's wrong

I seek her affirmation

wait

maybe her's

nope

yea, that's the one

but not even a smile and my adventure's done

off to another club

or maybe a bar 'cause my moves equal one

ok ok... a fraction and that's dumb

they were stuck up anyway

shelf confidence

my well groomed neon sign on display
