Erase My Shell

Erase My Shell

A Poem by BJ "Bunneh3000" Brown

I sigh as she cries
and erase myself
shedding my angerdermis
until I bleed at every breath
and the pain relaxes me

I weave laughter in tears
and erase myself
tearing her illusion
until regret fears my very sight
and the mirror blinds me

how hard I try
to avoid the wall I build
a shell to rot within
a mask to mock my presence
'cause a door too wide
exhumes the weight of my world
only to surrender
to the boom
of soft sweet lips
