Confliction

Written about a friend of mine, who at the time was struggling to accept who she was.

I don't want you
I don't need you
Yet I constantly think about you.

We are alike in our wants
Your kind is not my own
Yet our bodies are the same.

It disgusts me
It intrigues me
Now I find myself in battle.

I don't want this
I don't need this
Thanks for causing this emotion.

Please forgive me
Please don't hate me
But I must push you away.

Goodbye for now
Goodbye for always
Goodbye my little confliction.

I usually don't write poems. I am more of a story kind of gal. But on occasion I like to try!
