Freedom's Sunset.

Freedom's Sunset.

A Poem by Bullet Soul

Alone she stands, the humble fighter
Grasps the knife, the weakest sight

Beneath the sunset, that marks the end
Of one more useless, November day

Another object, in a world full of many
Standing beneath, a bleeding sky

Imperfection, with flaws at the center
The perfect example, of another lost freedom

The freedom to live
And the freedom to love

Slowly she carries, the knife to her wrists
Ready for solitude, for Hell’s fiery gates

But in the blink, of her light brown eyes
Alas, her world is alive!

The Nevada sunset, with brilliant colors
Set her knife on the ground, and showed her hope

A world now blackened, by cigarette smoke
By the cries of the innocent, that fill the night

Will again come alive, in the Nevada heat
When you’re staring at a sunset, with the earth beneath your feet

Live on, live well, your freedom still rests
In the hands of the Lord, who gave you your sunset,

The freedom to live,
And the freedom to love.

This is a beautiful story of rebirth. I really liked the personification of the Nevada Sunset. Something is truly inspirational about the sun setting in the backdrop of that place. Its almost like watching the hand of the creator painting a masterpiece. You've captured those thousands of colors that make a person feel closer to heaven. There is always room to start over. You've cleverly disguised wisdom and philosophy here. Nice Job here.
