September Romance.

September Romance.

A Poem by Bullet Soul
"

Forbidden longing, and treacherous desire.

"
I saw it in your eyes, late last September
The love that shone through your heart
And the tears that pulsed through my own

An emotional drought, has plagued her thoughts
Her own tragedy, fills the blank pages
Midnight disasters, that turned into scars

I wish I could feel, emotion like hers
That fill her journals, and online blogs
I wish I could see his eyes, the way she always has

I’ve never held another kiss, hostage on my lips
Have never felt the pull, of a romance on my soul
Never made a mistake, that turned into a romance

The movie screens pronounce it, paint it so vivid
Show the close ups, of the best relationships
What more do we truly live for?

The words “I love him” seem to fill her skies
So empty of burden, so full of love’s truth
Leaving her stranded, in one lifeless room

Dead lilies in the corner, dead romance in another
Close the closet door, and seal away your dreams
What good comes from the faintest touch of forbidden desires?

His heart was never meant for you, the captured and the shattered
Turn on the music to block out, the loud yet silent truth
That love was never meant for you

I'm just in love with this! "I've never held another kiss, captive on my lips." That line is FANTASTIC. I practically cried out when I read it! I can feel the longing and the love in this poem, brilliant job!

Wow.
This poem is one of my faves I have to say. There was so much description and detail and phrases that I though were so brilliant. Just as 'The Rock and Roll Cowboy' stated, that verse:

I've never held another kiss, hostage on my lips
Have never felt the pull, of a romance on my soul
Never made a mistake, that turned into a romance

This verse was captivating. Great job with this as well as the whole poem.

That verse alone was captivating... your words cry out of bitter desires that are overwhelming but will never be filled... a very gifted piece of writing.
