The Darkness That is Hell

The Darkness That is Hell

A Poem by Bullet Soul

Young Nyx does stand, amongst the clouds
Battle scars reflecting, off of her sacred moon
Her wrists the field been fought upon
When the angels took control

Her stars have since been falling, the silence of defeat
Nighttime has lost, the beauty of its birth
Nyx grieves the loss, of the devil’s faith
The burn of betrayal, still surging through her veins

The Heavens came first, dark as her night
Blew smoke through her skies, brought power to her life
Happiness for all her armies, that control us from above
But the army of the darkness, had failed to yet begun

The second day Nyx, prepared for God’s storm
She’d heard it may be sunshine, the noble men’s scorn
She threw out her demons, to defend the light he cast
But when they came short, Nyx gave up at last

Sunshine was plentiful, across God’s sacred land
Darkness was dubbed second, when given its score
The demons since long, to cross the line that now divides
The darkness from God’s plan

But darkness tempts the candle, lit deep within your soul
Longing for the taste, of the power it once held
St. Michael just may save, the soldier who casts his prayer
But Nyx is there waiting, to battle the light we send above

Author's Note

Bullet Soul
This was inspired by a lot of the emotions I've been continuously dealing with. We all fight evil everyday, and it's fair to say that evil is always fighting back.

Didn't spend hours on this one (not that I ever do) but I don't think it's too bad. Let me know if you feel anything could use changing.
