Winter, and the meaning of life.A Poem by Bullet SoulSometimes the coldest of seasons can bring the warmest kind of love.Remember the moon that lit up the night the day we learned, the meaning of life? Your hand was in mine, your lips held a secret We battled together, as hope lit our stars We were a force, unlike any other Our love a blanket, in the cold It was the dead of winter, the coldest of seasons But it brought us romance, and taught us of love Leaves every color buried beneath, snow so white As two children found, the love of their life Each day I remember that snow fall, and our winter love And hope wherever you are, you think of us too Even in the heat of the summer I take out the blanket, you once gave me To keep me warm throughout the winter And to remind me of you, when my thoughts grew cold I heard you got married, sometime last month I’m happy you’re happy, but I miss your warmth The stars seem to lose, their golden fire Ever since the day, spring sent you far away Tonight I will dream, of our winter love And the moon that lit, that peaceful night As together we learned, the meaning of life… © 2009 Bullet SoulReviews
