Winter's BeautyA Poem by Bullet Soul
Snow falls from the sky in sheets Bundled inside, she watches it fall His arms tight around her, winter in the air Her life at its high point, fire in her heart A country street, an old brick house A life she dreamed of, so long ago His paintings cover, every wall His colors make it, the best kind of home The smell of Christmas, floats through the air Family and love, a scent she adores Some like to travel, across the world Some like the city, and some like the heat But her heart lies, in this very cabin Watching the snow, fall from the Heavens A frozen pond, too thin to skate But a perfect source of beauty Snow so white, covers the trees Just like a Christmas card A deer walks along, with her doe Who brings new life, to winter’s world The sky is gray, but alive with light The most peaceful kind of sight Visitors are welcome, inside this home We’ll pour you a cup, of winter’s drink You’re free to glance, outside the window Into the cold world, that warms any heart © 2009 Bullet Soul |
