A Lonesome Dream

A Lonesome Dream

A Poem by Bud

In the mind a lonesome dream
Wanders amidst sparkled skies,
Deep within the vast emptiness
Of darkness between the lights.

Searching for warmth dreamt
Of so many times amidst turbulent
Air filled with cloudiness undefined.

Shivering against glistening rain,
Fallen far away from stars
Bereft of light, lingering on.

Long forgotten, long since faded away
Into the darkness of night,
Only to become a dream
Kept deep within a forgotten soul.

A poem with a sad story in the words. Some dreams can make you sad 30 years later. I believe memories keep us honest and if we are lucky. Wiser. We become kinder and more gentle with age. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

I like this write, it's kind of sad, yet also has a soft side.
