Tarnished

Tarnished

A Poem by Bud

Why would I want to tell you of where I've been, when it will only tarnish your opinion of what you see in me, what you believe? Nay, I choose to keep to myself what you do not know of me. Instead, I will continue to allow your current visions to hold true. Only will my actions belonging to here and now, along with those belonging to what's beyond, be the guide to your opinion of what you've seen and continue to see in me. No matter if it's in favor or against me. Or even if it's laid somewhere in between. So, I beg, why do I dare to ask where you've been, knowing the risk of tarnishing the vision I hold so highly of you...?

Because I care, and that can not be tarnished.

I like the flow of thoughts and the strong ending. Easy to get tarnished by actions or deeds. But we do need people who are needed in our life to love and truth us in good or bad times. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
