Truth

Truth

A Poem by Bud

Truth is sought and expected by all peoples. Yet when truth is revealed, it is shunned away. I think what most people really mean to say, when asking for the truth, is they want to hear what confirms their very beliefs, things that justify their own personal way of living, what they feel should be. And all the things that soothe their conscience and soul. Yet, there is very little room allotted for someone to be informed they are wrong in any particular way. Few people, out of the many across this orb, will accept they are wrong. I, for one, fully accept the very fact that I am wrong. I’m wrong in many ways. I very well may even be wrong concerning what I’m writing this very moment, but I will say it anyway…

The truth is we’re all wrong. This is a fact we’ll find in the end of all endings. Some of us will be closer to the truth than others, but by and large we are all wrong to a great degree. I feel if we take this into consideration in all things we do, and strive towards making ourselves better people, we just might find some truth in our long standing pledge of being a civilized species…

No truer words have been spoken. We must own it and live it. Great one.
