Dear SocietyA Poem by O Bubbly_snowflake **Edited for college newspaper submission. DESPERATE FOR REVIEWS*Dear Society, I have a small message for you. You see, all those lies will never be true. To fit-in, I must live in front of the dressing table. Eliminate flaws, and fit into a size 6 designer label. I did all you insisted and so much more. It changed me inside and out to fit a foreign decor The lies- now indistinguishable from the truth The honesty- Stripped from my once pure youth Should I be grateful for the sheep I have grown to be? Should I embrace this voice-less existence and just agree? I write to you with fragments of gratitude. Individuality gone, all that remains is a sheep's attitude. © 2011 O Bubbly_snowflake *Author's Note
