Why do we even fall in love?

Why do we even fall in love?

A Poem by O Bubbly_snowflake *

Why do we even fall in love?

Why do we lose our hearts to a total stranger?

Why do we smile in glee when they are around?

Why do we not realize we might be in danger?

Why do we become oblivious to any other sound?

Why do we become so frail in this emotion?

Why do we fly so high like doves?

Why do we forget to walk in caution?

Why do we even fall in love?

A stranger for who we are made for, by birth you await,

Thus they aren't a stranger, as it was once written in fate.

They make you smile, they set you free,

For that is why you are meant to be.

With our heart stolen, our senses numb,

If it ever fades we have no other retreat.

Love has no limits, has no heights,

It pulls you higher to a beautiful slight.

Caution is there, but silent and subtle,

But we lean on our partner, our hearts are brittle.

It is an emotion we cannot live without,

No matter the pain, we still chase

after that emotion, even if it ends in a painful phase.

This is really good!

I like how you asked very profound questions at the beginning and then answered. You have a deep grasp of things for someone so young. I hope to read more soon.

Keep it up!
