He lies asleep is his bed dreaming of the day he be wed,

I stair at him in the dark as I feel my heart breaking apart,

Tears start flowing down my cheeks

Landing on his handsome face...

I run my fingers through his hair

As I’m thinking this isn't fair,

I kiss his head and tuck him into bed

As I whisper in his ear ill Love you forever,

I’ll always hold our memories near,

I walk to his bathroom and take a shower

So he won’t hear my tears

As I make my thousandth prayer

I lay on the floor until the waters cold

And my lips are shivering blue

I wish this all wasn’t true,

But I know I will make it through,

God will bring me someone new.
