Respect My Word

If you can't respect my word
Then you're disrespecting me
Because I have nothing to hide
I put truth out for all to see
If I tell you that's how it is
Then take it for what it's worth
Don't ask me another question
About the one I answered first
If you can't handle the truth
Don't ask my f*****g opinion
I'm not about to lie to you
I told you that in the beginning
So yeah you said some bullshit
Wasn't thinking before you spoke
And now you're mad at me
Because you were sneaking
Through what I wrote
Writing is what I do
When I can't come
And talk to you
I tell the paper the truth
Because it doesn't require proof
The paper respects my word
And doesn't take it for granted
It sits there and listens calmly
Never starts yelling getting frantic
Going all off at the mouth
Like a woman giving birth
The paper is my confidant
The paper respects my word
I never told you a lie
I kept it as real as can be
But now you're sitting here
Trying to f*****g discredit me
When you have told so many lies
That now you're lieing to yourself
See, that's when it's a problem
Maybe you should seek some help
Denial is like a disease
You take the test you'll catch it early
And just like anthrax
It can be detrimental 'ya heard me?'
But honesty is not my problem
It's not my problem at all
Because all I have in this world
It's my words and my balls
And I refuse to have them broken
Not for him, and not for her
I'll tell your momma the truth
Even if it hurts
See I'm a grown a*s man
And I'll say it so the world hears it
I've grown to accept the truth
Others have grown to fear it
But the truth shall set you free
And I'm feeling free as a bird
Say what you want about me
As long as you respect my word.
