Happily Never After

Happily Never After

A Poem by Bsannn

I'm sinking in my own suffering. Your words are like the claws of a tiger digging deeper and deeper into my heart, ripping it apart like paper thin feelings. You're full of empty promises cascading into a pool of lies. How could one be so thoughtless? The words "I love you" only mean pain to me now. Everyone who's said it has destroyed me and for once i thought i found someone wouldn't. I guess all that love gives you is a broken heart, a bottle of jack and a pack of marlboro reds. This anger has grown to numb me and this time, I'll let it consume my heart. Black will override the red in my veins, my skies have faded, my oxygen has depleted and you're gone like a shadow in the dark. It feels as if all I have to look forward to is my death bed.
