The Breakup

A poem I wrote to explain the breakup

The night we last saw each other was the night I knew

That night I knew I didn’t love you anymore

But I didn’t know what to do

So my mind began a war

It took me a few weeks to tell you

But I decided to use an excuse

Because I didn’t know if I could follow-through

I really hope you don’t turn to drug use
