I understand I need to swim out of this abyss to awaken and to live,

but it’s hard when ten gallons of water is determined to nail be upon this mattress

Just know that I am desperately trying my best with a body that is frail and useless,

and I urgently need to write you this letter, for it will ease both you and I’s distress

I'm terribly sorry I made you cry,

and I know you do not understand why it seems I don't even try anymore,

for we tend to make amends just to fall apart again

and I know I do not write you nearly enough,
