Not Like The MoviesA Poem by Bryad Polis ValentinoI'm not. Am I? Who would know?
Why is it so surprising when?
I exist, as if I'm not a ghost, Not a fictional act from a bad movie, Someone dying to be heard, Proving you wrong all the same. You never had to like me, Nor I you, your lies, Melt me, twist me, beat me, Use me, abuse me, Don't kill me, baby. I'm not your wench. Don't believe I am. I'll do things how I want, As I'm the master, Enslaved to my fate. I'd kiss ya, but you wouldn't like it, I'll do it anyways, Now you love it. Decode…. Decode…..decode….decode…. Don't be so cruel, Leave me to my dream, Let me have my mercy, As you denied me mine. © 2019 Bryad Polis ValentinoAuthor's Note
