The Endless Maze

The Endless Maze

A Poem by Bryad Polis Valentino
"

A take on my personal journey, which mirrors all of yours. Enjoy.

"
That day, years ago,

Forbidden, I released, soul,

Forsaking the light, forever,

Crawling, bloodstained clothes,

Never would I embrace never.

My tarnished face, full, holes,

Feeling alive, I rose up,

Saw you, spirit of trust,

Temperance, justice,

Filled in the slain empress,

"God, I beseech your cause,

Help me mourn this loss."

Times were indifferent,

Fighting to always live,

To understand, see you,

Embracing occult truth,

Grasping human reasoning,

May I see the goblet?

Can I pass the labyrinth?

Life, the endless race,

Yes, I dare to keep the pace.

Forget not one lesson,

One sent upon a message,

That life is not a game,

Whether you are idol or sage.

When dreams die,

Nightmares live.

Banishment,

Evocation,

Let the hunt begin,

One for hearts,

One for souls,

One for essence,

One for lust,

All for salvation,

The one thing that saves.

Do not fall from grace,

In life's endless maze.

Nicely penned, Valentino. That's an interesting way of seeing life. I wouldn't have thought about it as a maze, more like a walk in the forest. Why makes you think so?

PS: Is that a Harry Potter reference I see?
