Will I See You Again?A Poem by Bryad Polis ValentinoA tribute to the sorceress Yennefer. Our protag leaves her presence, setting forth on a dangerous mission. not worried for his life, but instead wants to believe he'll see her again.Sharing my feelings,
Confess, their meanings,
Our origins similar,
Our hearts, familiar,
We pair unsteadily,
An united body,
One, unseen.
As a thousand sings,
I trust my eyes, prying,
Purple-bluish ravens,
They join in sorrow,
We won’t see, ‘til ‘morrow,
As the day ends, sets,
A night possessed of you,
My sorceress, true.
Now, I can attest,
What ‘tis my breast,
Thankful, mindful,
Guidance of soul,
Emotions not wasted,
Pondering company,
Can I believe?
I’ll see you again. © 2019 Bryad Polis ValentinoAuthor's Note
