strength & weakness

strength & weakness

A Poem by BryanaBear

I act like I’m tough,
I put on my big girl panties &
Hope the world doesn’t come crashin

I’m always lost in thought,
Caught up in my own brain &
Hope you won’t catch me slippin

I’m falling apart on the inside,
Hard as ice on the outside &
Keep getting lost in dreamin

I think one day I’ll change,
Maybe even open up &
Then it happens and I’m bleedin

I can’t stop thinking about you,
My reaction to your opening up &
I can’t help but feelin…

I pushed you away and I’m to blame.

OMG, this is brilliant! I like the structure, the flow, the imagery. My only note has to do with the fact that "crashin" & "slippin", although fantastic images, don't fit in with the "ee" relative rhyming sounds. Doesn't hurt the poem much if kept, but to the ear, it would sound a lot more pleasing to hear those ee's in whatever fashion.
