Odin's Own

Odin's Own

A Poem by Bryan Smithson
"

Viking pride...

"

Glistening moonlight

Falling softly

I bathe

Forgetting self

My shadow

Blocking

My conscience

Wolven hearts

Transformed state

Viking brethren

Beast of a man

Days In travel

Weeks alone

Home, the harbor

Heading course

My love

For family

Country

Hopes

Fledgling feelings

Fleeting enemies

Dare harm thy own

Face my axe alone

I’m inspired

By Odin

Frenzy be mine

You’ll know protection

Under my life

As I’ll die

Guarding

What is mine

As I am theirs

"Frenzy be mine". The fellow must be a berserker. No one to mess with.
