Breath Takers

by Chris Cook on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 8:25pm

I closed my eyes last night and you were there. I couldn't see you, but I knew you were the reason sleep would not find me. I say there is a lot on my mind, but that is a lie there is only you. I wrote of you once before, but the riddles were woven to deep. I had only hoped you could decipher them and understand how I feel. Every day I put you on the podium as the brilliant person that deserves to be above. Every day I chase the storm, only to find myself caught inside of it. I am the dreamer and you are the dream. I closed my eyes last night and you were there.
