And Im a Dreamer

And Im a Dreamer

A Story by Brutis140

And I put it above me. Like a brilliant object on a golden podium. Turning my head from it would shatter my world and cause earth to stop spinning. My fascination is unexplainable and childish. After all it cant share with me what I would hope to share with it. I storm into its existence, upsetting its balance. How could it share its entirety? How could it become one with me. I could never expect to uproot such a beautiful thing and take it for myself.
I am selfish. I am ignorant. I am lucky to have to have the ability to pull myself from this dream and rush back to reality.

I'm guessing that 'it' is a metaphor for the unobtainable but it's quite possible that i am missing the obvious. I feel that writing like this can be a bit frustrating but also fulfilling because it makes you think and imprint your own dreams on it.
Good work!
Cheers,
Alan
