Out Of TownA Poem by Don ShawAt times, living in the city is just to much for this country boy . I have to get Out Of Town.
Out Of Town
Out of town is a splendid place,
no exhaust fumes, from cars that race. The greens are greener, and blues bluer the aroma in the field is of cow manure . I can breath, I can breath, wide open space, out of town is a splendid place. Fresh cut hay , I love that smell, not at all like the concrete hell. Walking, through the fields i adore, looking into the sky, watching a hawk as he soars. Fishing in a pond you don't need your mace. out of town is a splendid place. Sun going down now , wow what a sight, mixing of colors, makes my soul delight. Stars shinning bright in the darkness of night. All this is hidden in the big city lights. Surrounded by God and all of His Grace. Out of town is a splendid place. © 2011 Don ShawReviews
