Become a Child of God Today

A Poem by Brother Jacob

Go back and read the verse;
hearts of men shall wax worse.

Because sin abounds, their hearts grow cold.
These are the words, Jesus foretold.

Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. -Matthew 24:12

Some will have no compassion for others;
sisters against sisters, brothers against brothers.

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household - Matthew 10:36

Some will only care for power, fortune, and fame,
but this world they cannot tame.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - 2 Timothy 3:1-4

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold. - 2 Timothy 4:3

Evil will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. -Psalm 34:21

The fullness of this world, shall pass away;
 become a child of God today! 

The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever. - 1 John 2:17

But to all who believed Jesus and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. - John 1:12
