Apprehend

A Poem by Brother Jacob

To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. -Jeremiah 6:10 If the Word of the Lord is their delight, everything will be alright. If they consider it a shame, woe unto them is their name. They’ve chosen the bitter, instead of the sweet. Their own wickedness they shall eat. They think they’re rich, and have it all. But in their pride, they shall fall. They think they’re clothed, but they’re bare. They’re poor and naked, but unaware. Uncircumcised are their ears, they gain their power by others’ fears. Blinded are their very eyes; their hearts are full of despise. The kingdoms of the world, God shall apprehend. The reign of unrighteousness, shall meet its end.
