The Thief on the Cross

The Thief on the Cross

A Poem by Brother Jacob

The Thief on the Cross

There I hung beside the Savior.
The One whose sacrifice granted me favor.
A thief I was, who deserved eternal damnation,
but my Redeemer gave me the gift of Salvation.

I confessed I was a sinner, and told Him “when you enter your kingdom remember me,” He made a promise that together in paradise we’d be.

I wasn’t baptized, spirit filled, nor did I belong to any denomination.
It’s still the power of His blood that gives men Salvation.
