One Life to Live

This world plays, on our very emotions.
We're tossed to and fro, just like waves in the oceans.
This world is an emotional roller-coaster.
It's the gun, in an outlaw's holster.

Sometimes you hit your target; sometimes you're off your aim.
Whether you win, lose, or draw, life is not a game.
Be kind to each other; practice what you preach.
Show love and compassion, with open arms' reach.

I've only been alive for 23 years, but I've certainly learned a lot.
It ain't about getting what you want, it's about appreciating what you got.
We only got one life to live, tell someone you love them and show them that you care.
You could wake up tomorrow, without them being there.

Take everything I said, under consideration.
Put your trust in the Lord, and the Love of His Salvation.
Put your best foot forward, leave your past behind you.
Not matter what you see, don't let this world define you.
