![]() America isn't a Racist NationA Poem by Brother Jacob
America is not a racist nation.
I rebuke that very proclamation. We are the home of the free and the brave. No one in this country is a slave. Yes we still got racial biases today and it's evil and disgraceful, I do have to say. But not every police officer is out to kill a black man. Not every white person is in the Ku Klux Klan. They are calling Tim Scott, "Uncle Tim." (a reference to Uncle Tom) Is that not racist? Is your mind that dim? If MLK Jr were alive today, He'd be called an "Uncle Tom," that's what they would say. Tell me what does climate change, have to do with discrimination? Real Americans are fed up, with this pervasive aggravation. We will keep standing for the truth, we will not keep silent. But we will protest peacefully, we don't believe in becoming violent. Take MLJK Jr. for example, a mighty man of God. He didn't win through violence, but instead, he marched and trod. Just like Moses stood up to Pharoah, King stood up to discrimination. He didn't have to use his fists, to bring black liberation. Just like Moses had God on his side, King had God and God did provide. And God hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; - Acts 17:26 I'm not saying that racism isn't a problem in America, what I am plainly saying is people shouldn't label a whole nation racist because that is misleading. © 2021 Brother Jacob |
