All I Got To Say

A Poem by Brother Jacob

My actions don’t always, correspond with my words.
I find it highly irritating, and completely absurd.
I know what is true, and I know what is right.
But sometimes I keep my mouth shut, I’m afraid I might incite.

To be honest with you, I am a little shy.
And growing up I often wondered, "is this normal for a guy?"
Time and time again, every fact has been proven.
We all have our fears, worries, and doubts; it’s part of being human.

I do not like stereotypes, and I don’t believe every narrative that blows my way.
You can love me or hate me; that’s all I got to say.
