The 10 Commandments

A Poem by Brother Jacob

1. I’m the Only One thou shall worship and serve. 
    In My hands you are preserved.

2. Although their designs seem really cool.
    Bowing down to them will make you a fool.

3. I Am Your Creator don’t take My Name in vain.
    I Am the Lord Who forever reigns.

4. Don’t work too hard take a day of rest.
  Enjoy the Sabbath, I hope your day is blessed.

5.  Heed my words, open up your ears.
    Honor your parents, and I’ll add to your years.

6. I’m the God of life, so please do not kill.
    Be obedient and follow My will.

7.  Adultery hurts the soul, and damages many lives. 
    Do not cheat on your husbands, nor on your wives.

8. What’s yours is yours, and what’s mine is mine.
      Ask to borrow, and we’ll  be fine.

9. There are consequences to a lie, once it is sown
    And always in the end, the truth shall be known.

10. No need to covet after a single thing.
    For God will provide for everything.

    Obey God’s commandments; heed, my advice.
    For God loves and honors obedience, more than sacrifice
