"Love is not love, woman
Without moments of red.
Tough as it seems, woman,
Feel that joy, even as you fade.
That joy, when eyes met,
And the first touches, you dealt.
Remember, those smiles, that slipped,
As your beats, floated on the freedom-wind.
Remember, how you danced in the rain,
And arms, that grabbed you from behind,
Just shy and eyes, closed,
Your head, rested on my chest,
And water-drops that hid some sweats,
Of some fear of dependence.
Yet the hearts kept beating,
That thirsty soul just kept going,
Because it was lonely no-more.
Only that stupid street light, does remember,
How our emotions slumbered, that night,
Facing each other.
What lives in time, lives forever,
Love's timeless, even for a dreamer."
Very nicely written, I don't have much experience with relationships having only been in one roughly six or seven years ago, but I have seen friends deal with this kind of feeling before.
