Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning

A Poem by Brook
"

My sleepiness never faded, but neither did my smile.

"
The moon disappeared, along
with the night. The house was
over come with a luminous light.
The birds began to sing, and in the
air lingered the smell of breakfasts
cooking.

My sleepiness never faded, but
neither did my smile. My heart
grew fonder of the morning, even
though there was a weather warning.
Torrential rain, the weather man muttered.

"Do you want one or two,
would you like them buttered?" I
nodded at you, and you gave me
a wink. You passed me my
breakfast, and i dug in. You
kissed my forehead, and
whispered to me, "Come back to
bed, sweetie."

Oh man... I would marry Sunday Mornings if I could, haha. I just love them, most of the time they are so peaceful. I always have a date with my bed and computer, LOL! Been that way for years.

Thank you! Means a lot.
' My heart grew fonder of the morning'

I don't know why, but I love this line! The weather here enhanced the experience for me, not that it was needed. You did a wonderful job, Brookly! :)

You're most welcome :))
I love the whole poem, but the ending was my favorite part. Who doesn't love to crawl back into bed? Lovely poem Brook! ^-^
