DisquietudeA Poem by BrookI placed my hand where you last lay, and gently drifted off that way.
And as i lay in bed that night
Without you by my side, i began to gently cry. I cried because you weren't there, and my mind had time to spare. I cried because i couldn't hear you snore, or feel your arms around my waist whilst you sleepily demanded i snuggle up more. I cried because my ears missed your voice, And my mouth missed kissing you goodnight. I cried because i knew there was a chance you won't ever lay there again, because all good things must come to an end. Then as the tears dried on my face, and i turned to see your empty place. I placed my hand where you last lay, and gently drifted off that way.
