Desolation

Desolation

A Poem by Brook

Would you still think i was 'pretty' if you
Saw what went on in my head? The thoughts i have,
And how i leave myself in floods of tears whilst lying in bed?

Would you still think i was 'lovely'
If you saw what i wanted to do.
How i'd happily take matters into my own hands,
And leave all of you.

Would you still think i was 'creative'
If you saw the dark side of my mind?
Where the ghouls whisper, and the demons hide.

Will you still look at me the same,
Now i've confessed my pain?
Kiss my scarred mind, and body with your
Precious love? Show me i haven't lost this fight,
i just haven't looked up?
