Forgotten How

Forgotten How

A Poem by Zane Mathias

I have forgotten how to cry-

my tears have gone dry

from the years of fighting with the skies.

I have forgotten how to cry

my tears run dry from the figth with the skies

                     &

From the demons in my life.

i have

not done

Big boys dont cry ,a societal expectation which is taken to extremes. Men are just as emotional as women and repressing tears is unhealthy. I have even been known to cry reading my own poetry does that make me anyless of a man.

Fewer words but well chosen. Your message all the stronger for the brevity and the spacing of the words.
