Role model

Role model

A Poem by Katie

Sorry i ain't the role model
   you want me to be
That you need me to be
That you look up to
To become me

I toss and turn every night wonderin if your lifes alright you taking the right steps
The right direction?
Making a change daring to be different.
Or is it too late? Have you become me?

Sorry you looked up to me
I aint the role model i need to be
I want to be
I thought i was making the smart moves, the right ways but i didnt see the sign saying turn around wrong way!

My minds all sideways how can I be the role model for you?
When im still sitting here confused asking myself what do I do?
 What can I do?

I bet you can see right through me. All the bullshit of the smiles and laughs you see the pain and the tears.

I aint perfect and i bet you already knew that
But here you stand right beside me
Looking up at me.
