Chapter 21A Chapter by Tellie Allen“So we got your make up and journals and your wrap. Anything else you want?” “Food.” “Where do you want to go?” “You pick. I mean I’m dragging you around so I want you to pick.” “Hm. What are you hungry for?” “Fries.” “Ha-ha you always want fries.” “Yeah only because they are amazing.” “Ok. So fries. How about Burger King?” “I LOVE THEIR FRIES!” “Ok so Burger King it is.” * * * “So what do you want to do now,” Jake asked as we walked back out to the car.” “Hm. I don’t know.” “Do you want to go back to the house?” “No.” “OK.” “Wait do you want to go back?” “Not really. Why not just for a ride?” “Sure.” He put the car in gear and drove off. He drove fast, either that or I’m just seeing things. The colors flew by. What once were cars and trees, were now blurs and splatters. Sometimes when no one was ahead or behind us he would speed up. We had the music blaring so loud it was like we were actually at the concert. I loved it. Jake would get into a song every once in awhile. He would bob his head up and down or sing along. Every once in awhile he would look over and watch me sing along. He would smile a deep and caring smile. I never thought I could be so relaxed and comfortable with a guy as much as I am with him. © 2012 Tellie Allen |
