Chapter 10A Chapter by Tellie Allen"Well here we are." Sam said as we pulled up to a creamy house. The bright green grass bouncing the light of the moon off. "Do you think his family will mind that I'm here?" "Nah. I told him ahead of time." "Ah. smart idea. i mean i definetly didn't think about doing that." "Haha lucky for you i did." he said smiling. "Well it was nice metting you." "Ah like wise Ashley. Maybe i'll catch tou around later?" "i hope so. i really enjoyed talking to you." "maybe i could be the one you run to?" "you know what? i'd like that. here's my cell." i searched for a napkin, then a pen. i quickly scribbled the ten digits then my name finishing with a small heart. "well i'll send you a text maybe we can hangout sometime?" "yeah maybe." "well see ya around Ash." "See you Sam." i shut the car door and limped to Jake's front door, gazing around the yard. it was perfect. nothing in the yard. it was absulutely empty. nothing like my yard. we had bikes, chairs, and misolance abjects laying around. we had a huge pine tree and a huge shrub laying in the edge on the yard. scratching my mom's car everytime she would enter or leave. their house was so small. again nothing compared to mine. theirs was also so neat and well kept. again mine was weak. the paint chipped the wood had tiny jumpers falling everytime we opened or shut our door. it was like skydivers paradice. i knocked on the cold creamy white door. i heard a few distant voices then quickly a loud booming one. it sounded as if a gaint was going to be the creature to greet me. "well hello there Ashley." "um hi." "you must be so tired and hungry. please come in." "Thanks Mr. Smith." "Jake's room is down the hall second door on the left. I'll have my wife bring in some food." "Thank you." i walked down the strange hall. looking at the dozens of family portriets hanging on the walls. i heard tv and then a singing voice. i knew it was Jake's. his voice is so mesmerizing. it could make the angels up in heaven melt. i listened for a few more seconds before i knocked on the door. "Uh one second." i heard rustling, then fumbling. and finally a few curse words just before he answered the door. "Ashley. are you ok? Sam told me what had happened." "Jake calm down i'm fine. if it wasn't for Sam i'd probably not be ok." "Yeah but also if it wasn;t for Sam you wouldn't be back in the boot." "Jake chill. it was my fault. i was walkign and taking buses. i didn't pay attention." "Why were you walking and taking buses?" "Well i was at first i was heading to Jaci's house and then i lost track of time and where i was going and then all of a sudden i was here." "Ah gotcha." "mhm." "oh um sorry for the mess." "its cool. remember my room?" "oh yeah haha." i looked around the room. you could totally tell that this was a guys room. clothes laying on the floor. shoes seperated like a divorced couple. books covering the desk. "you can sit down if you want." "i know i'm observing." "ah" i sat on his bed. it was a bunk bed. tall enough to lay on, but short ebough to bonk yur head on if you sat up. the top bunk was again covered with shoes and clothes. books and papers. definetly a boys room. © 2011 Tellie Allen |
