As Far Away As The Horizon

A poem about the first boy I ever had felings for.

You're as close as the sand that's beneath my feet

Yet as far away as the horizon

I want to reach out and feel your embrace

But I'm too afraid to even speak

I know that I should let you go

But I'm stuck in this spell you've got me under

I wanna run away and never look back

Somehow I can't get my feet to move

You looked my way, then left me here alone

With nothing else to do then to wonder

You took a piece of me, my heart to be exact

And I know I'll never be the same again
