To Lose The One I Love

Written about my ex, while we were still together. Originally written for Creative Writing my senior year.

 

Twice I've almost lost you

My world fell to the ground

 

Horror took me over

 

Thinking I'd lost the love I found

 

 

I'm terrified to lose the one

 

I gave my whole heart to

 

I'm racked with fear every night and day

 

That if I did there's nothing I could do

 

 

Love is giving someone the power to destroy you

 

But trusting them enough not to

 

All that I can think of is

 

Baby, what would I do without you?

 

 

They say to never make anyone your everything

 

Because if you lose them you have nothing

 

Well it's too late

 

This I've already done

 

For you are my everything

 

Stopping me when I wanted to run

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Holding me

 

Loving me

 

Never letting go

 

The only thing that I can see

 

Is for our love to grow
