Falling

Falling

A Poem by Katie
"

A poem about my ins and outs of love, and how despite my greatest efforts to tell my heart not to fall, it did anyway. Starts with my ex boyfriend, a former friend, and then ends with a good friend that I have found myself falling for.

"

I fell in love with those big brown eyes

Fell hard, and fell fast

Into a whole new world

Let my heart go

And had it returned in a fiery crash

Let my heart bleed

And the tears flow

Until eventually I fell into his bright, blue eyes

Only to be fooled

Thinking I had found something I had once lost

But it was a lie, and I was burned

And then I felt something I tried so desperately to fight

Butterflies overwhelmed me

And I began to fall

And now as I continue falling

I can't help but wonder

Will you ever catch me?

Or will I continue to fall endlessly?
