She's Gone.

She's Gone.

A Poem by BeatricePortinari.
"

My friend, a good friend, was just expelled from my school for snorting. I didn't know she was back to hardcore using. She's gone.

"
You were fourteen
With the world up ahead
You were beautiful
Words flew from your mouth
I believed you
When you said you were fine
I never looked deeper
Then the grin on your mouth
One minute
You'd be singing your song

And then next
You'd be smiling from the neck of a bottle

It held your poison
The one you tried to escape

But it's this disease
It will present itself to you

On your f*****g grave

It will be the cocktail of your life
We'll seal it with a kiss
You'll drink it down hard.

But, my sweet,
There isn't to be a tomorrow

And I want you to know
That living right now
Is like dancing on the sun

Darling, it's a little warm
But that's the point.

No one ever
Ever
Ever
Never
Said this was easy.
