Fork Road

Fork Road

A Story by BrokenPiece

I lost myself in this mid-afternoon heat. You added up the heat to my head. I do not know why you have this effect on me. I cannot explain it.

I hate it when I am talking to you, I hate it when I am not. I hate it when I see you, I hate it when I do not. That explains it and that explanation does not even say anything. Like an empty stomach continuously digesting or an operating hotel in the middle of nowhere.

Do you get my point? Of course not. That is why we have pointless discussions that might lead us to a road we know we would not want to take. Come to think of it, I am pretty damn sure we’re not taking any roads.

Not that road that will definitely make us cling to each other nor that one that will tear us apart.
