Please, Let Me Go

Please, Let Me Go

A Poem by BrokenPiece

I know you will love her more than I
Those eyes of yours looking, staring at me
Wishing they were hers.
Please, let me go.

You have loved her for so long,
And you have shared with me your pain.
Now, this pain is mine to hold.
Please, let me go.

You have kissed my lips,
Touched my soul.
You took what was left of me.
Please, let me go.

You have done all those things,
Made me laugh, made me cry.
Made me angry, made me sigh.
Please, let me go.

I know you still long for her,
Wishing I was she.
She is everything I will never be.
Please, let me go.

I am holding on because you make me,
I am here because I want to be here,
This is hurting, killing me so much.
Be kind and let me go.

Before anything else,
Please tell me what was I to you,
Why we did such things, why you try.
Please, before letting me go.
