My Mother

My Mother

A Poem by BrokenLight

Even with the light on, the painful screams

Screech in my ears.

Just as time was healing my wounds

They always have a way to bleed

Again.

When I put a smile on

It felt real, but only for the moment.

I can't stand anymore

I feel like falling

Falling into the dark.

Once again

I bleed, I bleed for you

My mother.

And all i can do is do my best

But never!, Is it any good enough

For a woman like you.

My mother can't you see

I'm doing my best for you and father.

I sacrifice my life to make you both

Proud, But will you ever see?.

Ever see how much effort I put

Into making you proud?

My mother

I hope I'm doing right.

Because all you have to say is always

So negative and harsh.

Well, I'm sorry my mother

But all I can do is my best.
