Lie to herself

Lie to herself

A Poem by BrokenLight
"

I'm lying to myself, and being pushed out by my family and can't scream for help. Because i know they really won't do anything to help. So i lie to myself that i'm fine

"

She stared at everyone

Seeing laughter and happniess

In Everyone around her.

People drinking and laughing

Together making connections

And making friends.

Her voice always seems distance

Or unheard to everyone.

She shuts herself out

From the world.

Not speaking a word to anyone

No one will listen

Or seem to care.

She sits and only listens

To the voices in her

Head.

They are the only things she has to make her feel

Some what sane.

Long nights of tossing and turning

Losing so much sleep.

And hearing the voices grow louder

With each breath she takes.

She knows it always

Could be her last.

Being pushed away from her family

Or friends.

Not saying a word for help

She knows only one thing to do

"Stay away, and lie to yourself, you are fine"

And she does, everyday, everynight.

Lies to herself.

Knowing no one will care

So she will live a lie

Until she dies.
