Rain Drops

A sad romance poem

Rain drops on the hood of your beat up truck

My painful daydreams running amok

One, two, three can you even hear me?

Drowned out by the alley of broken dreams

So I'll smile so they won't see

What you've truly done to me

Innocent doodles of your face

A habit I can't replace

A lost confession

Another frozen passion

"So that's the end I suppose?"

A question I can't help but pose

I liked the poem. Remind me of my favorite writer Dryden. The words open doors to thoughts and I liked the flow leading to the every good closure.
